MARY NOLAN

 

 

Mary Nolan was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and was raised in the New England area. She began to exhibit her paintings and drawings during her high school years and has continued to do so since that time.

In 1974 she graduated from Vesper George School of Art in Boston. For the next number of years she exhibited her work in shows and galleries on the East coast, winning numerous prizes and awards.

In 1992 Nolan returned to school to further pursue her formal education. She received a BA in Fine Art and Psychology from Emmanuel College, Boston, and a Masters Degree in Art Therapy from Vermont College of Norwich University in Montpelier, Vermont.

Today Nolan lives and maintains a studio near Cooperstown, New York. She paints local and regional landscapes, teaches Plein Air painting and facilitates Art Therapy workshops. Her paintings are found in many National and International collections.
